Were you looking forward already to the latest updates of iOS which supported many distinctive features? But alongside of many others, iOS 6 has come forward with coolest updates regarding maps. Still the taste of this latest update has faded away with the absence of street view.
Considering this a serious issue the creators of many cool apps, NAVIGON AG, has come forward with latest update of Navigon 2.1 which offers street view in HD with iPhone 4, iPhone 4S and iPad. Yes of course, a real time Google street view along with mapping and GPS. With the aid of Navigon, you were already able to convert your iDevices into a fulltime navigation system but this latest update of 2.1 versions has doubled the value of Navigon and made it extravaganza.
Here’s what they described about new update:
- Google Street View screen of the destination when indicating and when reaching the destination (not available in all cities)
– ‘Custom route’ enables manual blocking of route sections with just a tap of your finger
– ‘Cockpit’ displays extended information such as g-value, altitude, compass, roll and tilt angles, and much more (available as In-App purchase)
– Improved retina display support for the new iPad
– Faster map display
– Faster startup time of the app
– Improved map manager
In addition to Google street view, they have given you another option of Cockpit, an in-app purchase, alongside of manual route block system in case you are looking for new shortcut route. This as well helps you in driving and provides you with relevant mapping data. This data is of the view and includes information concerning to gForce, an adjustable speed and altitude graph, horizontal and vertical positions and many more.
This 2.1 version is fully compatible with iPhone 3Gs, iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S as well as iPad and iPod touch with minimum of iOS 4.3 or later. You can download the app version according to your region. Every region has different price. For example, if you want to grab Navigon for Central America, you can download it for $20. However, for complete maps of America and Canada, you will need to spend $40. Similarly, Navigon App for Europe can be downloaded for $85.
Earlier today, we posted that Google has finally released Google Chrome for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. That’s not enough for today, we have great news for Google drive users, and Google has finally released Google drive for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. Google drive was released about 10 weeks ago for desktop users; it’s Dropbox like virtual drive to store all your data such as documents, pictures, music and other important files.
Here’s what Google explained about the important features of this App:
– Quickly and easily access and view your documents, photos and videos anywhere
– Make files available offline so you can view them even when you don’t have Internet connection
– Easily share files with collaborators on the go
– Sync files across your desktop and all your devices
– Open files from Drive with other apps installed on your device
– Star your most important files to easily find them later
Google drive initially offers 5Gb of free space which is twice as compared to the Dropbox but Google drive for iPhone isn’t as good as it should be. One of the main features of Google drive is that you can make new documents and store them on Google drive just like Google documents. You will be disappointed to hear that this feature is lacking in Google drive for iOS.
In the very first version of Google drive, you can view photos, music files and can use any file compatible with iOS but if you open a document file or any other file which is not compatible with iOS, it will redirect to Safari. So, if you want to open a document or want to create one, it will open the link in safari, where you can enter your login details and will be able to make a new document.
That’s not the end, there are certain other important features which are lacking in native in Google drive app for example you can view the photos but can’t save them in the Camera roll.
With these Pros and Cons, if you are still interesting to install Google drive on your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad, you can download it for absolutely free of cost [iTunes Link].
iCloud, as we know it today, as the most safe and secure place to put, share and store every bit of pieces of our data. An update has just hit to us regarding iCloud Beta Website from one of our sources which tells us that Apple Inc. has already extended its list of iCloud apps and seeded us with four new cool apps. Or in other words, all four apps are live now and Apple Inc. has in fact given more space to share the data over a platform which is the most secure earthly.
The list of iCloud has just been updated with these all four latest apps include “Find My iPhone”, “Reminders” and “Notes” as well as Calendar, which previously had Mail, Contacts and iWork. Find my iPhone is just a big thing to iCloud which has redesigned and holds an option of Lost Mode. This option lets the owner to send a number to lost iPhone and the finder of the iPhone can call that number in return.
In case of the rest – Reminder, Notes and Calendar – there are no significant changes they have made in them but still they are in beta version to iCloud. This means this allows you to sync all of your notes, lists, reminders, and numbers of to do list etc. over the air in no time. Thanks to Apple for bringing this cool update in the form of this favor!
Whoa! The fall is near and it seems that we have finally got the date of iPhone 5 release and even the more amazing thing is that we are now less than one month away from getting our hands on Apple’s next-gen iPhone 5. We have already posted many rumors and news about the release date of iPhone 5 as 21st September but this news will force you to think about the big day on this day.
As posted by a famous Weblog, AT&T staff will have vacation blackout from 21st September to 30th September which assures us about the release of iPhone 5. AT&T has been a sole carrier for iPhone till last year. So, this news makes a sense about the 21st as launch date. If we just look back, we already posted that Verizon Staff will also have vacation blackout from 21st September. Now, both these companies are the leading carriers for iPhone.
Here’s what Techcrunch posted:
We’ve received yet another bit of evidence confirming the next iPhone’s September 21 launch. According to an AT&T sales rep, AT&T staff has been given a vacation blackout from September 21 to September 30, just like Verizon employees. Our source also mentioned that blue carrier employees are undergoing training for an “iconic release.”
iPhone 5 will be probably announce on 12th September just week and half before the release date. These two evidences strongly points towards the 21st September as the big day. What do you think? Hold your beats because we are near!
