Enable FaceTime Over 3G Service

face-to-face video calls with friends and family ‚ iPhone to iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or PC over Wi-Fi. No matter how far away they live you’ll be able to see them and talk to them with this app. However it had a restriction that it allowed video calls via Wi-Fi only.

Well thanks to this iPhone Dev team for finding out this bug in iOS 5.0.1 now you can use the 3G service to activate Factime. Just follow the below mentioned steps to activate it through 3G service on iPhone 4.

Note: Your iPhone 4 must be jailbroken in order for this to work.

Download and install iFile on your device
Open iFile and navigate to /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/
Open “N90AP.plist” file and find this text: <key>capabilities</key> <dict>
Now below this line copy and paste this line: <key>3Gevenice</key> <true/>
Save and file and close it.
You are done. Now enjoy Facetime over the 3G service anywhere you want. Stay connected to your loved ones on the go.
